Evaluation and Assessment

Evaluation is continuous and comprehensive according to the CBSE system. Under this system, the pattern of assessment will be such that only grades will be reflected in the report cards. The continuous assessments are done in the form of subject enrichment which include class tests, projects, home assignments, classroom interaction, practice sheets, etc. The parents are given feedback after an assessment to understand and analyze the child’s progress in the scholastic areas.

In-built assessment from Kindergarten to Grade 2

Assessment usually conjures up images of an end-of –unit test, a formative assessment or a periodic assessment. However, formal testing does not always capture the full extent of learning experience, especially in younger children. In-built assessment focuses upon the daily opportunities and interactions afforded to students and collecting information about their free expressions and conceptual understanding. This helps to improve both teaching and learning and creates an environment free from the fear and anxiety of examinations.
